Watch: Texas sinkhole swallows pickup truck

A large sinkhole approximately 20 feet in both width and depth unexpectedly opened at an intersection in Beaumont, Texas during the early morning hours of August 2nd, engulfing a pickup truck that was driving through the area. The cavity was flooded with multiple feet of water due to a ruptured water main, which city officials identified as the underlying cause of the ground collapse. The vehicle's driver managed to escape from the truck on their own and did not sustain any injuries in the incident.
